Good morning students. Today, we’re going to learn about Belief in the Last Day, which is one of the six pillars of faith in Islam. This belief is very important because it reminds us that this life is temporary, and one day every person will be brought back to life to stand before Allah for judgment. The Qur’an tells us very clearly: “Indeed, the Hour is coming – no doubt about it – but most of the people do not believe.” So, as Muslims, having faith in the Last Day gives us purpose and direction in life.

Now, what does the Last Day mean? It begins when Angel Israfil blows the trumpet. The world will be destroyed, and then it will be blown again and every human being will be resurrected. People will rise from their graves and stand before Allah. Their deeds will be presented, and they will be judged with complete fairness. The Qur’an says: “Whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it, and whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it.” That means even the smallest action matters—whether it’s helping someone, or hurting someone. Nothing will be ignored.

On that Day, people will receive their record of deeds. The righteous will receive it in their right hand, and the sinful in their left. The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said that every person will be asked about their life, their youth, their wealth, and how they used their knowledge. So, the Last Day is about accountability. Just like in school, when exams come, you can’t hide your work—you are tested fairly. In the same way, the Last Day is like the ultimate exam of our lives.

There are only two final destinations: Paradise or Hell. Paradise is described as a place of peace, happiness, and closeness to Allah—where families can be together, and people are rewarded for their patience and good deeds. Hell, on the other hand, is a place of punishment for those who reject Allah and commit evil. These descriptions remind us to stay on the right path.

Before the Last Day, the Prophet peace be upon him told us about certain signs. Minor signs include dishonesty becoming common, disrespect to parents, and people running after wealth. Major signs are much bigger, such as the coming of Dajjal, the return of Prophet Isa (Jesus, peace be upon him), the appearance of Gog and Magog, the sun rising from the west, and the trumpet being blown. These signs remind us that the Last Day is certain, and we should always be ready.

So, why is belief in the Last Day so important for us? Because it changes how we live. If I know I’ll be answerable to Allah, I’ll think twice before lying, cheating, or hurting someone. I’ll also be encouraged to pray, help others, and be patient in tough times. Belief in the Last Day keeps us balanced—we enjoy this world but don’t get lost in greed, because we know the real success is in the Hereafter.

To wrap up, students: Belief in the Last Day teaches us that this life is short, but what we do here matters forever. It gives us accountability, hope, and the motivation to do good and avoid wrong. So let’s remember: our true goal is not just passing exams in school, but passing the final test on the Day of Judgment, Insha’Allah.
