Good morning students. Today we are going to discuss some of the major teachings in the Hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, about belief. Belief, or Iman, is the foundation of Islam. It’s not just about saying with your tongue that you believe; it’s about having conviction in your heart and showing that faith through your actions. The Prophet, peace be upon him, explained in Hadiths how belief in Allah, angels, the Hereafter, and divine decree should shape the way we live.

Let’s start with belief in Allah. The Prophet taught that true faith means believing in the oneness of Allah—knowing He is the only Creator, the only Sustainer, and the only Judge. He said that whoever sincerely testifies there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is His Messenger will enter Paradise. This belief isn’t just about words—it leads us to trust Allah, rely on Him, and obey Him. For example, when something good happens, we say Alhamdulillah. When we are tested, we show patience, knowing Allah is in control.

Next is belief in angels. The Prophet, peace be upon him, reminded us that angels record our deeds—one writing good actions, another recording sins. If you think about it, it’s like having a 24/7 CCTV that never switches off, but one that records for the Day of Judgment. This makes a believer more careful, encouraging honesty and kindness even when no one is watching, because Allah’s angels are always present.

Now, belief in the Hereafter. The Prophet, peace be upon him, taught that faith in the Last Day—Resurrection, Paradise, and Hell—is essential. He said that simple words like Subhan Allah, Alhamdulillah, La ilaha illallah, and Allahu Akbar lead a believer to Paradise. Belief in the Hereafter helps us understand that this world is temporary and that every action will be judged. For example, if someone cheats in an exam, they may escape punishment from the teacher, but Allah will hold them accountable on the Day of Judgment.

Belief in divine decree, or Qadr, is also very important. The Prophet explained that nothing happens without Allah’s will—whether good or bad. He said even if the whole world tried to help you, they couldn’t unless Allah had already written it for you. This doesn’t mean we stop working hard. Instead, it means we trust Allah’s plan when things don’t go our way. For example, if you study hard but don’t get the marks you hoped for, you accept it with patience, knowing Allah has a better plan for you.

Finally, the Prophet, peace be upon him, showed that belief must reflect in daily life. It should improve our morals, make us honest, kind, and fair. It should strengthen our worship—through prayer, Qur’an, and remembrance of Allah. And it should shape how we deal with people—with justice, compassion, and responsibility.

So, to wrap up, students: The Hadiths about belief teach us that true Iman means believing in Allah, His angels, the Hereafter, and divine decree—and living by that belief every day. It’s not just what we say, but how we act. If our faith makes us more patient, more grateful, more honest, and more caring, then we are following the Prophet’s teachings. That is the real beauty of Iman.
